Pumpkin Picking

Welcome to fall in the northwest!

About ten miles north of portland is Sauvie Island. This weekend a couple a friends of ours took us in their car and we visited the farms there. This picture is a view from the island. Notice the floating cottages. It was a perfect day to be there!

We went to one of the farms to pick pumpkins. We even got a hayride out to the pumpkin patch.

We smuggled someone along with us too!

Brian (with carmel apple), Renee (with Olive), Christie (with coffee) and Charles (with hat).

Our shoes and paws on the hayride.

Olive was content to ride like this, Brian was content to keep eating his apple.

Oooooo, identify the shadows.

Making a decision at the patch was harder than we thought...

Here's why (the perfect pumpkins are out there somewhere)

This one looks good.
Everyone carving (except Renee)
Renee's version of carving
Brian's pumpkin.

All pumpkins alight!

Renee is the only two-headed shadow in the crowd.
