"Snow" Day!

Brian didn't have school today because of this incredible amount of snowfall. (where's Olive?)

I guess the roads were a tad slick and it was pretty darn cold (7 degrees with the wind) - but still... Almost every business had closed.

Olive was at a loss for what to do.

Denver: Chapter 1

My school flew me to Denver for a conference this weekend. They put me up in the swanky Hyatt hotel. This is a shot from my room.

These climbers were in the lobby.

This guy was outside...looking in.

Two blocks from the hotel was a 18 block walking mall.

They also have cool buildings.

Funny.

This one's for Anna - the public library!

The art museum.

This is how they keep everything so clean! Look at the table and chairs to the left to see just how big it is.

more funky buildings.

I snapped this right before I got outta bed. Hence the sweet angle.

One lightbulp covered building.

Turkey Decor

Turns out Olive isn't such a fan of crafts - here she is eyeing the glue gun.

Even with her paws she managed to make a felt turkey for the door.

It's really a challenge to tell whose is who's

Halloween Costume!

None of Brian's students believed that he made it.

New digs

Finally we have pictures of our new apartment to upload! Welcome to Amber Court, on the corner of NW 22nd and Irving.

Here is the oh-so-cute courtyard.

Dining area...

Whenever Olive finds any kind of a lap-like area to lie on she takes it!

Pumpkin Picking

Welcome to fall in the northwest!

About ten miles north of portland is Sauvie Island. This weekend a couple a friends of ours took us in their car and we visited the farms there. This picture is a view from the island. Notice the floating cottages. It was a perfect day to be there!

We went to one of the farms to pick pumpkins. We even got a hayride out to the pumpkin patch.

We smuggled someone along with us too!

Brian (with carmel apple), Renee (with Olive), Christie (with coffee) and Charles (with hat).

Our shoes and paws on the hayride.

Olive was content to ride like this, Brian was content to keep eating his apple.

Oooooo, identify the shadows.

Making a decision at the patch was harder than we thought...

Here's why (the perfect pumpkins are out there somewhere)

This one looks good.

Renee's October Show at Josefa Kate Gallery

Street View

The show went really well and Renee got a lot of interest from it as well as some sales too! The show is going to be up until November 15th, and started on October 2nd, so she is getting a lot of attention from it. Here are some of the photos of the show itself and the set up. She decided to paint a gray stripe on the walls to change things up a bit and to keep the space looking fresh. We both had a blast at the show including Olive!
